Now that Easter is upon us? I didn't give anything up, but I felt like posting this slight bit of irony:

Just found out today that Easy Jesus is liquor, E&J to be exact. Me and my friend decided to get a half gallon this weekend, before realizing this is Easter weekend.

Should be fun :D

Edit : Bleh, see how good of a catholic I am, I forgot about lent and didn't realize this thread was about it.

You could say I gave up fat food because I decided to go on a diet a few weeks ago. Eating lots and lots of chicken isn't against lent is it?

Exactly. I even know some protestants who give stuff up for lent. How are you giving to God by not eating chocolate? :confused: Lent for the lose.

You know those egg dye tablets? One time I thought one of those was a pill I was supposed to take and I put it in my mouth. My tounge was red for a while after that.

If you faithfully avoided any drop of alcohol during Lent and then you get completely smashed the day after the 40 days, would the meaning of Lent be lost? :confused:

Depends on whether the meaning of Lent was to lower your tolerance so you could get smashed for cheaper.
