FireFox 0.9 rocks my socks

Seriously, Internet Explorer can go die in a fire. One of my only gripes is that the adress bar takes up like 1/4th of my screen! (That's with the google taskbar, but even without it's a bit large)

IE with google taskbar is thiner, and the IE google taskbar comes with a built in adblocker, (Not an extension). That's all I wanted this for anyway. IE can do all that I need, and so can Firefox..so why did I even bother getting firefox if it's the same as IE except bigger? Because it's hella freaking fast, sexy, helpful, easy to use, and it doesn't crash on me!

<3 firefox.

Yeah, I like it. I hope the EditCSS extension gets fixed.

Why do you need the Google toolbar?
2004-06-17, 5:53 PM #3
*shrug* It's pretty? It links to a bunch of other useful sites, it's the same as the google taskbar that comes with FF, but it has a bunch of added useful things.

Also I love all these EXTENSIONS!!

It's still damn large. The googlebar icons aren't any smaller, but I really don't mind all that much. Thanks though.

You can drag and drop toolbar elements in customize and save even more space, buttons to the file menu toolbar, google bar to the same row as address bar, remove the firefox bookmarks etc.

Firefox is what IE should of been.

even with the google bar, IE is still a really half-a**ed browser. Firefox has tabbed browsing, extensions, and a whole lot more.

compared to that, IE is like the stereotypical ugly chick no one talked to in high school. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Those tabs are enormous..

Edit: And gg on Adblock. I've discovered that it is the coolest.

Do you use those 3 bookmark toolbar links for Firefox Help and Support and Plug-In FAQ? Seems like those would be something you could just access from the bookmarks menu (or sidebar), and disable the bookmark toolbar for even MORE space.

Oh, and.... SPACE!

One bug I am trying to fight is this:

Normally, when you hit Back, the browser not only goes to the previous page, but the general area you were at (such as halfway down, etc). Firefox doesn't do it anymore. Anyone know why and how to fix it?

Firefox has a built-in popup blocker...

Yeah really, Firefox has its own built in stuff, no toolbar. With Firefox there really is no point to get the Google toolbar, since there is already a small search bar in Firefox, and it already blocks popups. Not to mention, the adblocker extension works helluva lot better than any Ad-removing software.

If I was using it back then, maybe. Of course, I thought it was Phoenix and not "Pheonix".

Though he could have been talking about actual in-page ad blocking, which can be done with the Adblock extension (it rules, btw). I don't know if Googlebar does this, but it's just a possibility.

I dont know either, but I seriously doubt it...considering that Google runs their own ad servers...
