you know that show that used to be on MTV... "Fear"? and you know how it always had people wearing those harnesses that attach to your waist/chest and have the camera point back at the person's face so their face doesnt move out of the frame, but the things behind the person move?

well you'd think i would be able to find what this is called, but google has failed me.

anyone know what this is called?

They're probably built by the people who made the show. I would suggest asking them.

I know a similar, but custom built, rig was used in the movie Pi: Faith in Chaos. If you get a chance to rent it, look at the extras. They explain the camera mount in one of the special features.

Hmm... like the thing that would have been used in Requiem for a Dream when Marlon Wayans is running through the alley after those dudes get shot?

It's also used in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels when the main dude is
walking away from losing all the money at the poker table. Also they seem to like it on The Amazing Race for roadblocks or detours that involve anything physical.

No idea what it's called though, sorry.

it's definately not a helmet camera, because you can see the person's head. and yeah the thing in requiem for a dream. they're attached to the chest. im probably going to have to make it myself.. or borrow something from a friend in drumline.
