PC2700 RAM for Sale

2x Micron PC2700 DDR333 512MB RAM, for a total of 1GB. Perfect if you motherboard supports dual channeling. I tried selling it on eBay and it ended with no buyers. I'm selling it for $170 or $85 a piece, however I'd prefer to sell them together. Not a bad deal considering I bought them for $185. I'm selling them because they just happened to be incompatible with my motherboard, which I guess is very picky when it comes to memory. If your interested, just say so and leave your e-mail address so I can contact you.

I'm not very good with computer hardware, so what can I do to figure out if my computer is compatible with one of those? Also, if I have 256 RAM already does it stack, or do I have to switch them out?

why does it have that pink casing on it?

Copper heatspreader. It's a good thing.
drizzit, your better off using these together, however you could probably pop one in with your 256 stick. These sticks are compatible with almost any motherboard, mine just being an exception, as there are only 9 certified types of memory that my motherboard actually supports. If your motherboard supports PC2700 RAM, or your currently using PC2700 RAM, then these will work for you.

For $178 I can buy 512MBx2 Corsair DIMMs of PC3200. Yet you are selling inferior, used RAM for almost the same price. Something to think about when no one bids...

Inferior Used?

It hasn't been used, we can't use it in our PC. It's like I got a game, never used it and sold it to you for a few bucks less. What are you losing? nothing.

It may not be used, but it's still inferior. If Emon is saying that he can get something better for that price, this means you are charging a high price for something that isn't that great.

Like charging 20 bucks for one sheet of paper when someone could spend that same 20 bucks and get a ream of paper.

I'm no expert on RAM, but I trust Emon's judgement on things like this.

I find it hard to believe it's inferior considering I paid $185 for it a week ago. Dropping the price $15 for RAM that's only been used once seems more then reasonable to me. To keep things straight, please only post from now on if your inquiring about the memory or your interested in buying it.

If it's not in the original package, it's considered used, especially to skeptical or paranoid bidders. And I don't know where you bought it from, but you got ripped off. NewEgg has RAM of the same class for $111.

What do you mean, hard to believe it's inferior? PC3200 is quite faster than PC2700...

Catsby says that Emon is quite correct. Catsby says not to expect to get the amount you're asking for the memory.

He may have come off as a jackass, but he is actually right. They got ripped off and now they are, in turn, trying to rip off someone else.

Can't you just return them?

This would be the best course of action. You'll get money wether you sell it or return it. I'd suggest the latter.
