I tried playing JK on my new PC, but it locks up everytime I try to view the FMV after the first level, is this because I have an old CD and it is messed up, or is it a Windows XP issue?

I have heard that SP2 for XP can cause issues in JK but I didn't know if that was a load of bunk or not.

does any one know the answer to this?

Try copying the FMVs to the HD and see how it runs then. I don't remember if you had to modify some configs.

My FMVs have been busted for ages. It's mustly because my JK CDs are scratch up like there's no tomorrow.

just disable the cutscenes. :)

problem solved, and nothing that important happens in them anywayz. >.>

My JK and my cutscenes run fine on XP. But then again, I have no SP2. eheh

well thanks, I'll try dissabling the cut sceens when I get a chance to play it again. hopefuly that will fix it. hopefuly I won't need to buy a new copy.

Sounds like a load of bunk.

You *may* try installing a new version of Smacker (Bink now, I guess) and copying the smacker32.dll or whatever into your JK folder (backup the old one!). I seem to remember this being a problem, but maybe it was a solution. I forget. Give it a try.
