1.) How the hell did someone come up with that? Who was just standing there and goes "Hmm I think Im gonna make this weird noise."

2.) I'm so gonna try that on my nephew.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

Nice, Pommy. You Kansai lunatic!

P.S.- That announcer's voice is terrible. Damn you and your womens' business/public formal voice pitch change, Japan! God, it reminds me of that woman at the bank that sounded like a cartoon mouse.

I'm pretty sure it only works on Asian babies.

I am so gonna try that on my nephew and niece to see if it works. My niece was just born on Monday though, so since she sleeps like 20 hours a day I may have to wait a bit to try it out.
Life is beautiful.

I'm pretty sure that does the opposite effect if performed incorrectly.

Who's to say Im not Asian and my nephew isn't as well?

I mean aside from the incredibly sexy pictures of the caucasian male that looks like me and that someone (I forget who) says I look like a movie star or something.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

We were just talking at dinner about how ridiculous Japanese TV is.
If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

Pommy-

As far as I remember, it was generally just the people from Kansai who used the overdrawn "Sugeeeeee", whereas everyone else said "sugoi". But I doubt it's that black and white- probably all depends on how the speaker defines themself. I spent four months in Shiga and there were plenty of people who didn't have outrageous accents. (But I'll be damned if I could understand anything a man older than thirty said, though.)

I always took it as just a youngish slang thing, since I pretty much only talk to teenagers in japanese

I do believe those people were Korean, judging by the text.

Subarashii.

I have no bloody idea why I just watched that video till the end. Must have been one of the most stupid things I have watched, and the fact I understood next to nothing didn't make it any better...

Hehe, I love how the japanese talk. I can't help but laugh (no offense to anyone) whenever I hear it. Part of the fun of watching Anime in subtitles is because of the funny sounding japanese chatter. BTW, this is a good thing. I'm not trying to sound mean when I say that.

I dunno, I suddenly stopped watching anime as much as before since I realized nearly every character sounds the same and the emo female voice acting somehow blew up some part of my brain so merry christmas.

Are you implying that asian people can't be movie stars?

Yeah, they do all sound the same. The same can be said about some spanish dubs too. I could never get why it's like that.
