It's good to this this is staying alive. As of today they posted some new screenshots of the cutscenes. Pretty good for just some modders.
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

I had no idea the mod is still alive. Good thing, though. And looks good.

Good stuff.

I check on their forum at LucasForums here and there. They are still alive, but barely. Their mod has definitely been an amazing recreation. I would hate to see it die, but at their pace and with their lack of manpower it might not see completion.

remember, TDIR made it to completion. (even though it was generly regarded as being not so good). and it was being developed for ages. So we should still hold out hope that this mod will also make it.

I want to know where how they got a hold of a 3d model of the crow... I mean the one in JK is not any I would use and building one from scracth would seem to be the only logical thing to do.

Holy crap, that Jeron Fusion Cutter is effing huge. It covers like half the screen.

I think I was misunderstood. I know people make models for mods (duh) but if it already exists and at the quality you want it to be at, why not just use it, asking for the proper permission (when you can) and always giving proper credit of course. Its like reinventing the wheel when your wheel will be worse or the same. It would only make sense if your wheel was going to better than the other ones, then you would remake it. That is why I don't go off and make my own tie fighters or x wings, because there are like 25 different editions out there of each, no need or sense to add another to the lot, unless of course, it would be better.

Because LEC won't allow you to use models from other games in other games. Basically in Droid Factory, which used the same system as JK with cogs and what not, you weren't allowed to steal the cogs/mods and use them for JK or MotS.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

On top of that, 9 times in 10, it's more fun and/or fulfilling to make it yourself.

At least in my experience, anyway.

Some people... you know... create their own content. It's part of making something and putting your name on it.

I looked on the back of the box of Dark Forces and it isn't anywhere near that size. The guy *was* big, but not that big.
