Are the sequels coming out almost back to back?
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

From the trailer, they make Jack seem like a pansy. All he does is run away from people.

I'm sure the movie will be great though.

The whole fighting in that big giant rolling wheel thing looks really crappy though... Well can't be as bad as sneaking underwater with a canoe like in the first one lol

I really didn't like the original, and I really don't have any support to back that opinion up. I just didn't like it. No clue why, because I'm definetly a pirates fanatic, like all men should be.

I think it may have been the overly cheesey storyline. I could have fallen asleep, considering I knew EXACTLY what was going to happen, and it took a while for them to get to the good parts.

That, and it's aparent that the movie was designed for the ladies in a few parts. Very aparent.

And, IMO, Depp and Jackman make both movies (series, rather) watchable.

The first movie entertained me, but I didn't care for the curse that made the bad pirates immortal, which was a huge plot element. I would have preferred a pirate story with a little more edge and almost none of the supernatural; however, this is a Disney movie. What's the point of a swordfight between two immortal pirates?

I'll still see the second one. I liked Jack Sparrow. He's funny.

I was laughing when I saw the previews where they have him roasting like a pig over the fire and he's trying to blow it out lol

Johnny Depp is awesome he makes any movie great. (and no its not cuz he's good looking, I think he's one of the true talents in Hollywood) He can actually act!

Yes, Jackman with such great movies as "Van Helsing" and "Swordfish" not to mention "Kate and Leopold" with Meg Ryan. Jackman was only good in X-Men (wll X-Men was only good one listed) and he didn't make it great.

But the scene in X2 where he runs around killing all the soldiers in the mansion was the best part of the movie. :D

Didn't Han Solo already do this? Copycat. :p

But he is good looking, I'll admit.
And this has frikkin Cthulhu in it. How can you say no?

-Yes, I know it's Davey Jones. But that just adds a whole level of coolness, because, hey, a demonic entity with oceanic mythological ties? How is that not Mr. Tentacles O'Malley?

That's why he said series, so as not to dredge up those other movies. :p ;)

And I agree, that was a badass scene.

I liked Helsing. I wouldn't exactly out it up for movie of the century, but it was entertaining.

Kate and Leopold was probably one of the few chick flicks I can enjoy.

We must remember the terrible, horrible, awful, unspeakable, evil movies that actors make, either for a quick buck or because they are stuck in a contract. That makes the movies they are actually GOOD in that much better. You can not have Wolverine's badass character, standing at 6'2, being badass without looking at the Godawful character he played in Swordfish.

I mean look at the new trailer, there are explosions going on around him and he takes the time to smoke a cigar. That's just manly.

What revamps were they planning? I was just there the other day and I didn't notice anything different with the ride (other then it only being a 10min wait).
