Lol, Ninja Looters are people who steal other people's drops. Many looters go after noobs. This happens to be one of those looters.

He stole my f***in boots man! :p

Well... someone needs to calm down a bit. And by a bit, like, that guy needs a new hobby. One without voicechat.

This is one thing that always baffled me about WoW. WoW has loot systems in place so that valuable stuff doesnt have to just sit there open to anyone to ninja them, yet they never seem to get used. 'Normal' loot rules means lets ignore the half-decent loot system Blizzard has provided for us and give ninjas an open invitation instead. If people didnt open corpses while the fight was still going it really wouldnt be an issue.

As do you, but I don't love you any less for it.

STOLE MY ****ING CLOUDSONG!!!!

LOL, the drama from ninja is always funny even though ninja looting does suck major butt. Thankfully I've never been a victim of a major ninja loot (I've only seen minor ones where people roll need on green items that they can't even use but only because they were stupid noobs) so I never experience the drama first hand. I hope I never do because I was so break the guy's nose if he stole a drop that a whoel group spent 4 hours trying to get!

this is one reason why i like FFXI. unless you are in a group and the leader is a real B****** and changes the treasure to quartermaster and puts it on himself just before the monster dies, it is impossible to ninja loot.

Same thing here alpha, as long as you use WoW's loot system, you'll never have a problem, unless someone changes from group loot to master looter. (And I've seen people switch to quartermaster in FFXI all the time)

In Guild Wars, you can't change the loot method at all. The Looting is turn based so if something good drops and you can't take it, you'll have to bargin with the player that won it in order to get it (everything that drops in GW can be traded). There is, however, a way to get something if you're patient and sneaky. If the person that won the drop doesn't pick it up for a good while (like 5 mins or so), the item can be taken by anyone. If something drops and they person that won it doesn't get it, you could just wait around and hope no one notices and then grab it when it becomes available :D
