... from eBay for $7 including S&H, along with a new JK [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]F2 disc for $8 including S&H because mine is screwed up. I've wanted to try the original DF, so I thought I'd order it. But, my PC is Windows XP, so it may be to old to run on. I'm hoping it will still work though. *Shrug*

1.) Go to EB Games or any game store.
2.) Go to the Bargain section
3.) JK - $1.00 - $1.99
4.) DF - $.50 - $1.99

In the LETS PLAY JK thread I posted I said I'd send anyone a free copy of JK if they needed it. J00 should have asked meeeeeeeee!

Dark Forces will run fine on Win XP, since it has compatability modes. You might also want to try using vdmsound to make sure that you have sound.

Yeah, that is a little much to pay for Dark Forces... I saw it the other day at EB for like $1.99 or something... JK is usually $4.99 in my experience. But I guess the problem is being able to *find* them.

I just found Disc 2 of JK for me. And, I had no clue that JK supported widescreen resolutions(1280x768)

No, see DF was being sold for $2.80, and JKDF2 for $3. But, it's $7 and $8 because of added S&H.

Stupid delivery fees.

The cheapest any local stores sells LEC games for in my area is $9.99. This goes for even the oldest LEC PC games. Of course I would never pay that much, because the internet is my friend.

JK supports dual monitors. Only problem is that the crosshair is in between the two, and there is an edge to monitors. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Why didn't you get Dark Forces back in 1996? Almost like I did, but I think I was closer to early 1997.

Nah, I've had MotS for a long while. I got JK in 1998 or so, and MotS in 1999. Only recently has my JK disc been unreadable, but MotS still lives on!

Yeah..he did get ripped off. He could of gotten them both for a total of 3-4 dollars. Instead he paid 15 dollars. It doesn't matter if it was ONLY 15 dollars, the point is he still paid more then he should have.

Time is money, and maybe he didn't want to spend time going to the store to scavenge for the absolute cheapest copy he could possibly find.

No, it wasn't a rip. Energy bills? Now those are a rip. $15 for a couple classic games is minuscule.

But, really, I couldn't find either. I would guess I'm not the only one searching for it. *Shrug*

But, I checked the Lucas Arts website, and JK is being sold for $15 there. Now THAT'S a rip off.
