Just so people don't have to read most of that crappy article:

Electronic Arts also confirmed in the earnings call that Will Wright's Spore will not ship in this fiscal year, meaning that the much-awaited title will not debut until at least April 2007.

I'd rather wait longer and get a game of higher quality than get a rushed game like KOTOR 2.

And if anyone mentions Daikatana I will shoot him.

I'm pretty sure it's a law that games can't be released as originally scheduled.

I think Jedi Academy came out according to original schedule.

That said, I don't have much issues with Spore's delay. Between Oblivion, Phantasy Star Universe and Twilight Princess I'm quite content when it comes to gaming this year. XD

It was, literally, an expansion. Very literally. The only way in which it wasn't an expansion is that you didn't need to own JO. That's it. It uses some identical resources. Slightly updated engine. Recoded weapons. A new saber system. That's it. IF that's not an expansion, I have NO clue what is.

If spore ends up being as cool as it looks like it will be, it's gonna be one of the best, most innovative games ever. It's worth waiting for, as long as it delivers.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Swaping kyle model does not make it was a new full game. It had less new stuff than MotS.

I guess all the sports games with roster updates are full on new games.
