This is the Massassi Photography Contest, with an apocalyptic theme.

First off, I created a new thread to clear out confusion. I wanted the second one gone, well it's alive but it's on the second page now anyway, I hope we can just let it sink into the abyss of threads. Better yet, an admin or DC forum moderator could close or delete it.

I urge you to go to the "official" website and read the rules and guidelines before entering the contest: http://www.angeltowns2.com/members/mpc/ Thank you.

So the theme is "apocalypse" and the deadline is next week's Friday (week 26, 6/25/2004) at 12 AM GMT/CUT. According to time.gov (which somehow messed up my calculations previously so I'm not really trusting it) American Central time is GMT/CUT -5, so the deadline should be on Thursday, 6/24/2004 at 7 PM Central time. The deadline can be extended at any time (unless it has been reached) on popular demand.

Please do not cast your vote until the deadline is reached; votes cast when entries (photographs) are still accepted will be ignored in the final result.

I was going to take a picture of GBK on a PC running windows, but we don't have any GBK's around here.

Thanks much, I spent alot of time making this [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

The king was to damn tall so I had to snap it in half in order to see it's cross. But that's okay I have like 10 chess sets [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]. Or maybe this can be my Napolean set. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Why the question mark, and do you "officially" declare that picture your entry? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

[Edit] Actually, that was a stupid question, as it's pretty apparent that it is your entry. [/edit]

[Edit #2] Furthermore, after connecting the picture to the theme, I like it. [/edit #2]

Well damn. Not to be an *** , but this thread isn't meant for people to post pictures which remind them of apocalypse that were taken by someone else, especially when you don't mention that when posting it...

I don't mean to take this thread off topic. I'm simply wondering, how does that picture say "apocalypse" to you? I don't see it.

Because you're as bored as I am

If you mean the one goth posted...the person looks like he knows there's no hope so he doesn't even care anymore, doesn't care about the world that the blurred background represents (we see trees portraying nature, a building portraying everything human-made and what seems like a corporate acronym on what looks like a trash scaffold portraying the world that revolves around corporations and finance), blurred because the person is sort of ready to leave it all behind, knowing it's doomed.

But that of course is my personal bull**** interpretation. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Thanks. I wish I could get a better scan though, I'm not as happy with it as I could be, but oh well.
