If it's anything like the show.

It'll be filled with nothing but inane pop culture references and blunt humor.

Lame.

Wait, is it on the Serious 2 engine? And how the **** do you make a game out of Family Guy?

The same way they made video games out of The Simpsons, I guess.

Now, I love Family Guy, but...this makes me sad :(

I've lost a lot of respect for MacFarlane over the last few years though...so it's not really too surprising.

And now for a list of less child orientated cartoon based computer games that sucked:

1. That Futurama game
2. The Simpsons : Road Rage
3. The Simpsons : Hit & Run
4. The Simpsons Wresting
5. The Simpsons Skateboarding

Seeing Family Guy is in similar elements, I can't see it going well.

[+ what Rob said.]
nope.

I, for one, really enjoyed that game.
I had a blog. It sucked.

Hit and Run was pretty good.

Yeah, it was really fun most of the time.

And I loved the animation.

Hit and Run + Road rage were very great games but I only had one problem with them.

The voice acting got repetative after playing for about an hour.

VVVVIRTUAL BART! This was an immensely fun Super Nintendo game. It and Bart's Nightmare. You could do things like hit people with tomatoes, or guide Bart (in pig form) safely through a corn dog factory.

Those games provided solid entertainment through many a childhood sleepover.

SNES right?! I rented that game so many times I payed (my mom paid) 5x as much as I would have paid if I just bought it. LOVED that thing, especially with Game Genie.

Well I owned the Sega Genesis version, close enough though.

BTW I wonder if the FG game will be based around Stewie, so you can use those cool inventions of his.

An unlikely chance of this happening, but if they capitalized on Family Guy's pop culture humor and applied it to video games, they could, in effect, implement a whole lot of established, classic gameplay-types (which would usually be the "same old thing) via game references. Sure, they could use their usual TV/movie references too, but a focus on gaming could make it fun. Imagine Peter as Mario, or as Solid Snake... I dunno. I think it'd be promising if that were the case.

It's a shame it will most likely suck. Pretty much anything converted from tv to games sucks, and vice versa.

the FPS game was a pile of crap but the racing one wasn't too bad.
