I think it's more the industry trying to get away from the image of gaming being for lonely single men than people actually getting offended.

I personally don't mind the "cover up". While my "buddy down stairs" might disagree, sex appeal should never be a priority to attract more gamers to a future product so this cover up business should really not have an effect on the success of a game company.

Let it be. It's not open to the public, so there's really no risk of children seeing them.

Sex sells - not very well in a lot of cases, but it sells. If they want to include scantily-clad women in their marketing, let them.
