Where to find books that are out of production

I'm a huge fan of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. A spin-off game in the Civilization series. Now one of the main aspects that made SMAC more enjoyable for me than other civ games was the awesome world it played on. Therefore I was thrilled when I found out about a year ago that there was a trilogy of books written on it.

Not being able to find anything here in the Netherlands I ordered the first two parts of the book of Amazon (forgot if it was .com or .co.uk). But unfortunately the third installement of the trilogy was no longer available on any amazon site I looked at. Now that I finished both books, and really liked them I'm kind of saddend that I don't know how it ends...

There are 2nd hand copies available at amazon.com, but amazon doesn't ship used copies overseas. :( Amazon.co.uk has some used copies as well. I think they might ship to the mainland, but the problem is that these used copies start off at 30 quid (€ 45) which is over 4 times the amount I spend on the other books. Which seems a bit absurd to me. Specially since they are in a deteriorated state.

So, does anyone know of a way/place where I might get this book for a decent price?

For the record the book is called "Twilight of the Mind" by Michael Ely. ISBN: 0671040790

Failing international sources, someone around here could buy it for you then ship it to you, after being PayPal'ed the proper funds, of course.

Yeah if I can't get it shipped here I'll have to get my parents to buy it for me and pick it up when I go visit them end of July.

Problem is then I'd have to convince my parents to borrow me their credit card number :em321: because kinda annoyingly you can't have an USA delivery address and a non-USA billing address with either Amazon or half.com :|

Maybe it's so Americans can't steal foreign credit cards and buy loads of stuff. Or charge said stuff to their secret Cayman Islands/Swiss accounts.

Actually that's nearly twice as expensive.

Darn searching for the book on that site actually shows stores that ask $100 for it o_O

The first two books in the series cost about $5 each :S

Oh it's a little cheaper than the British Amazon, true. But the Amazon.com used copies are about 30 dollars.
