The graphics seem to be the main improvement from the last footage I saw of this game. And the herd movement ideas seem interesting. If you stick through it, the last half is Robin Williams goofing around on the creature creator :D.

So, after seeing the whole thing...

Note to self: if you want to sell videogames, have Robin Williams play with it at E3.

He obviously knows a whole lot about videogames, especially for an old guy. I really have to respect an adult that actually KNOWS about videogames, and isn't just generally in-tune to them.

I'm excited about spore. I think I'll spend a lot of my time making random creatures and then pitting them against eachother.

You'd be surprised at how many older men play games and know a lot about them. My old man's one of them. His ****ty english is the only reason he isn't a regular on this site, lol.

He actually plays DoD. I personally haven't played with him, but I have a few friends in a clan who claim he's played with them on seperate occasions through his clan. I only half believe them.

(actually, /me realises by the time it comes out I'll have an XP bootable imac intel as well as this powerbook)

It does actually look like a game that'll hold my interest - most things these days don't. I'm on a bit of a retro spin to be honest, and this looks to have old skool influences :D

Eh.

It's neat.

I just wish there was a more direct way to interact with other users.

It'd be ace if several people could all play in one galaxy, that persistently changed as long as someone was playing. (It could just go into a time freeze dealie when there was no one online)

Someone could go to bed, and you could mess their crap ALL UP and then they'd wake up all pissed. But no big deal, they would just make another creature on a far away world. Build back up, and then seriously jack you the **** up all of the sudden.

From the beginning on I've been very interested in Spore. But until seeing this I was still rather sceptic about how well the gameplay would turn out. But darn this looks so awesome.

I kind of wish there were ways to set up groups so that you can all actually play together. Since everything is so small it could be synced when you log on and be a 'persistent' world that exists in between computers....

Hmm, we'll have to look into that when it comes out.

But yeah we should really do that.

meh, chances are someone will find a way to mod the game like they did for the PC versions of Grand Theft Auto and make an online mode somehow, turn the massive single player game into a MMO of sorts.

Other players content is downloaded to you, based upon your playstyle. And that is how your worlds are populated.
