This is something I wrote to help relieve my stress. It really helped me, and I'm hoping it might calm anyone else who is stressed. Just imagine a moment of your life that was calm, and then read the poem. Or look at beatiful pictures of scenery. I'm really mellow right now, so if this sounds weird, I'm sure you'll let me know.
Quote:
I hold a single moment in my mind
A slither of reality so bright, so clear
I can sense the rippling wind against my neck
I can feel the tender grass beneath my skin
I can touch the twisted knots of trembling trees
Life has stopped for me
A silky wave of comfort washes through my hair
And sends a tingling massage down my back
My nerves soften as my muscles relax
I surrender to a simple, soothing, solitude
A peaceful, dreamy reassurance
The world is silent, so I may rest at ease
A slither of reality so bright, so clear
I can sense the rippling wind against my neck
I can feel the tender grass beneath my skin
I can touch the twisted knots of trembling trees
Life has stopped for me
A silky wave of comfort washes through my hair
And sends a tingling massage down my back
My nerves soften as my muscles relax
I surrender to a simple, soothing, solitude
A peaceful, dreamy reassurance
The world is silent, so I may rest at ease
