Ugh...another fine example of brainwashed high schoolers by their parents? I really liked the part when the girl said a woman isn't smart enough to be president. :gbk:

By the way, that girl reminded me of my friend's girlfriend.

Santa Cruz is in California after all. Should we really be surprised that liberals exist in this state? You can hardly go 5 feet on a school campus without seeing some form of liberal propaganda on bulletin boards and I so happen to live in a city with a large Christian population too!

The film shows the stupidity of the right wing conservative students who only believe what they believe because their parents force-fed it to them. They know absolutely NOTHING about politics, yet they adhear to something that they themselves don't understand.

The first post is satirical.

Yeah, like that's not true for 99% of all students period. It's because really, they don't care. They never think about it, and they give poorly thought out opinions because they don't know what they're talking about. It's more a case of apathy than anything, and to apply it to just conservatives is stupid. You could just as easily find retarded liberals. I'm still not bored enough to finish watching the movie.

Oddly enough the only liberal part of CA are the coastal areas. Every county inland usually votes conservative.

Liberal parents don't do the same thing? It's a mistake to make a sweeping generalization like that.

Not to mention its slightly ironic.

It's not that women aren't smart enough to be president. They're just too emotional.

That also applies for the left wing liberal students as well. I've met quite a few stupid ones who have been force fed their beliefs (and this is in college, too).

We not too emotional! We're completely stable! *goes and cries in a corner*

But yeah...in some ways I do have to agree. Maybe have a non-crazy, post-menopausal woman as president?

And the left-wing students are so open minded and bursting with intelligence.

Like these nice chaps here:

http://www.zombietime.com/tookie/

Both sides have their share of idiots and morons. Don't try to paint it otherwise; most if not all people don't know half the stuff they spew from their piehole.

Truly, students really shouldn't have a strong opinion on politics, one way or another. You need experience, more education, and time to form opinions that are your own. Most left-wing kids are either just rebelling against their parents, been fed this in schools taught by fairly liberal professors, or doing it because their favorite celebrity of some sort is supporting it. Not because they themselves are better at all.

Well there are probably some women would would do a good job. Even so, I don't think I'd ever vote for a woman... Call me old fashioned if you will. Then again, I don't really think women should have dangerous jobs either (ie millitary, police, fire dept, etc.). Not that I think there aren't women who could excel in those roles.. I just think women are too valuable to risk their lives.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

That's the way political beliefs form most of the time.

My statement wasn't a generalization. I was being extremely specific to the video at hand. Of course you'll see similar examples either way.

I couldn't stand it. They were interviewing people who had opinions and couldn't back them up. It's not a problem that someone approves or disapproves Bush, but there has to be a reason why. I'm glad I'm out of high school where morons like that abound, not that colleges don't have some of that population.

My college is full of liberal band wagoners who resort to personal attacks when you challenge their political views.
