Well?

Just a quick survey to see if this is a common occurance. Thing is, I see many photos of people from the 80s, and it only seems to be dads that have this trait.

He was too young. He just had a little long shaggy hair, and bad style.

My father's hair was totally black then, and a huge beard. Now that I think of it, many 80s man had black beards back then.

Bearded.

Man, I wish that was still in style.

Back when men were men, women were women, and hippies roamed the land.

In the 80's my dad look very similar to the way he does now.
No beard, normal hair.
He has a little bit less hair now, but he hasn't lost much.

My dad lost his hair in the 60s, and, to my knowledge, never had any facial hair.

When I was born, dad was sporting a beard. It was quickly shaved IIRC. He was pretty clean shaven save a moustache all throughout the 80s.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

He looked like Magnum PI gearing more towards a mullet.

He was forced to shave the 'tash for his wedding, and it was never grown again.

:p
nope.

Curly, permed mullet and a mustache.

My father wore jeans, t-shirts, and had a mustache and long hair. He was really in to 60s/70s/80s rock and the drugs that went with it, until he became a born again Christian.

My dad had long hair down to his shoulders and a monsterous beard all the way up to '78 or so. After that, he cut his hair and started parting it on the left. He let it poof up and kept the beard... It wasn't until the late 80's that he trimmed his hair and lost the beard. He left a moustache until the mid '90s and then shaved it off. To this day, not a change.

In my parent's wedding pictures, my dad had a full beard and a 'fro. While the beard grew, the 'fro didn't so much. He still had it when I was born in the 80s.
