I really don't want to speculate about this movie because the past few James Bond films have sucked. I'll see Casino Royale in theaters anyway.

Hmmm, I can't say I've gotten close enough to smell him.

The movie looks pretty decent though. Better than the other recent Bond films. But only silly people judge movies by their trailers.

Lazenby wasn't only bond for one film because he sucked. He was only bond for one film because he didn't get along with the director / other actors. On Her Majesty's Secret Service was one of the best bond films made you heathens.

If he didn't suck, surely they would've gone to another actor rather than asking connery to come back.

That's Pierce Brosnan's fault. I couldn't put my thumb exactly on why they stank, but it was revealed to me when I made the mistake of seeing The Matador: Pierce Brosnan is a dirty old man.

Warning: Never, ever buy The Matador, or even rent it. It's not funny, scary, or thrilling. It's just a badly done, badly written movie.

me posting in a Bond thread....can't help myself.

trailer looks promising, although when me and my girlfriend saw the trailer recently before Da Vinci, the reaction she had to Daniel Craig walking out the water topless...I was not impressed ;)

I thought Brosnan was the best Bond of them all, but his movies after Goldeneye sucked because of mediocre plots, overdone CGI, and overall lameness. The villains didn't have the appeal of Trevelyan.

Yeah. Goldeneye was a great film, but it all went downhill from there.

Although I'm probably only saying Brosnan was the best Bond because I'm too young to have nostalgia about the other actors :p

Daniel Craig looks like Steve McQueen, and Steve McQueen is totally awesome, so Daniel Craig must be at least a little bit awesome.

Of course, there will be no beating Sean and Pierce (who, IMO, are at a tie in the race of awesomeness).

I don't... y'know... read about movies THAT WONT BE OUT FOR ANOTHER SIX MONTHS because I can find out all the information about the movie by NOT CARING AND GOING TO GO SEE THE DAMN MOVIE AND LEARNING THAT WAY.

Waaaaah! I'm the "informed" generation! I need EVERY EXISTING PIECE of information about this film before I can decide whether it will be good or not! NOBODY EVER SURPRISES ANYBODY BY MAKING SOMETHING ON A SEEMINGLY EXHAUSTED PREMISE THAT DOESN'T SUCK.
