He's using Daemon Tools to mount a Office 2000 ISO. As in, he pirated it.

My mom's running 98, I was running 98 up until March when I was given a copy of Win2k, my mom refuses to upgrade to 2k however (dunno why). Yeah, we were ripped off, and we got it in 2002 with my computer.

I spent time trying to run '98 in a VirtualPC window thing. Then found out I can run Syndicate Wars just fine with VDMSound and a bit of tweaking.
