Gracie vs Hughes (spoilers)

Did anyone else catch the fight? I wasn't suprised by the outcome, but I didn't expect the match to be over with so quickly. I think Royce Gracie could still beat most of the UFC fighters today, just not Matt Hughes. I hope he comes back and fights some of the other fighters that are around these days.

I didn't see the fight, but I saw a lot of Gracie's fights. He spent 11 minutes in the octagon in his first 7 fights. The longest fight he had was jsut under 5 minutes, and that was against a guy who was a lot bigger than he was. Gracie is just the most amazing submission fighter I've ever seen.

I thought it was a good fight, they were all kinda short (the reason I liked the diaz fight). I gotta say, as much as it was fun to watch, $40 for the ppv seems a bit much.
Steal my dreams and sell them back to me.....

I was going to get the PPV last night, but decided to wait until this morning to get it via a cheaper method. It's also available on YouTube.

Wow, that as just outstanding.

To see Gracie in that arm bar was painful to watch. Overall, Matt Hughes completely controlled Gracie, even on the ground, which is just unheard of. Gracie was completely dominated. I kept expecting Gracie to pull off some crazy submission, but it never happened.

I went to a friends house where we partied all night in anticipation of the fight. I called it that Hughes would win. I think that if Gracie would've relaxed, he could've done better in the ring. He seemed so uptight, while Hughes was acting confident. Man, Hughes is a beast...
