How the hell is it gonna work if we can't even delete the shortcuts?

The owner of it was "System", and maybe that had something to do with it. Other than that, maybe a slight bug? I dunno, seems to obvious for a bug, but there will probably be a fix for that by release I'm guessing.
I had a blog. It sucked.

I seem to (hazily) recall reading somewhere else that the process for deleting shortcuts was indeed that complicated. I'd be surprised if the final version was that complicated, but most things I've read about Vista indicate that there is quite a lot of pop ups and confirmation boxes.

As hilarious as this whole security/permissions thing is: Seriously, what do people expect? It's a beta. It's not going to work perfectly. If it worked perfectly, Microsoft already would have released it.

The beta versions of Windows 2000 and Windows XP were less usable than Vista's beta. Give them time. If you want to try out a PC OS with all of the eye candy, download Ubuntu and apt-get install xserver-xgl. Otherwise just wait.

Strange, I saw it on the front of [H] posted less than an hour ago.

If you call that old...

Or maybe it stands for the entire thread was a joke. [H]urr.

I understand what's going on that makes the process take so long, and it's part bug part poor implementation of an administrator system on Vista's part.

[QUOTE=Dj Yoshi]Yeah.

Porn is power.

If porn = power, and knowledge = power, then we can reason that knowledge = porn.

That, I believe, is the meaning of life.

"The more you know"

Haha. NBC promotes pornography.

You know I could probably drum up some seriously pseudo intellectual bull**** justifying the fact that knowledge is pornography because of self stimulation without longterm payoff, but I am too stoned and tired.

LAWL M$ SUX!!

Get over it. They make as good a product as anyone else, which is precisely why they maintain their monopoly and macs will always be for whiney emo kids that just wanna "cut myself different" or whatever the commercials say now.
