For my Deus Ex r teh borked. :(

Well... Not TOTALLY.... Know how as you boost the resolution the Hud and Menus are supposed to shrink proportionately? Well my menus do that just fine until I run the resolution up to 1280x1024, and then the menus and Hud go back to the 640x480 size. Already reinstalled.... didn't help.... it's annoying... I strongly dislike having a Hud eat most of my screen while playing DX. ... I could just play in 1024x768... works fine there... meh.

You know, I don't have any bloody idea why I posted this other than to complain. ><

Unless someone has a nifty idea as to what's borking it.

Tip: Send me your Deus Ex CDs and let me play the game. I have thus far in life been deprived of DE lovin', except the PS2 version which I despised because that's an example of an FPS done bad on console.
I had a blog. It sucked.

Old game I want to get: Anachronox. In fact, I think I'll order it tonight. :D

I should dig up that game and play it.

(Talking about Anachronox)

Also, I remember having the DX HUD's still being small even though the reso's higher than 800x600 for ages... I wonder if there's some neat way to fix it.

May sound silly, but did you completely uninstall it? Maybe theres a few files leftover in the directory, or maybe some registry settings pertaining to DX are still hanging around.

Point worth looking into... Yesterday was... a bad day for me. Lots of crap going wrong. I just kinda took a few basic stabs at DX and called it quits.

Nope. This wasn't a problem last time I had it installed. There weren't any problems last time I had DX installed... Of course... last time I wasn't running SP2 either....

You never need to update Deus Ex - there's only one patch (I think) and it doesn't address any technical issues (just adds multiplayer and occasionaly breaks your single-player game). If that's what you (Yoshi) meant by updating.

^Deus was a surprisingly bug-free game. I only remember one broken quest and it was really, really minor.
