I have an iPod (with video). It lacks support for several audio and video codecs that I want but it's control scheme and interface are execellent. The iPod is also really popular. With the iAUDIO X5 you get support for more codecs and other nifty features. It's kinda like form over function.

Overall if I had a second chance, I'd get the iAUDIO X5 just for the codec it plays.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

X5... supports more formats, better sound quality, better battery life

There doesn't seem to be a 60GB iAudio X5(L).

If you want extras though, the iPod (due to its popularity) has loads of standard add-ons. I listen to mine in my car via a standard docking cable (which also charges it).

My friend just bought a Creative Zen Vision M and it is damn sexy. I dont know if it comes in anything over 30GB though, but I would take it over an iPod.

I have an X5L.

I definitely think that it is MUCH better than an ipod. The screen is slightly smaller and of a lower resolution, but I can still watch Batman when selling plasma just fine. Dunno how porn would work though... o_O

Also, there is no 60gb X5L because it would be too thick. The 60gb and X5L are the same thickness, and if you put them together it would start to turn into a brick. 30gb has been plenty for me so far.

The audio is of superior quality, and it has many more features.

X5L for the win! Seriously, the extra battery life is so worth it!

Personally, i hate em both (i've got an iPod Photo, and that suits me fine). My gripe is the same for both: comfort. The top lip of the iPod 5G starts to press into your hand if you hold it for a while, and the Conwon X5 is just uncomfortable to hold (i havn't actually used one, as i only got to see a display model in a store).

As for the Zen, my friend has one, and i havn't heared any complaints from him (even though his is an older model.)
