I need 2 normal American male voices. You need to be OK with swearing and taking the lord's name in vain. I also need normal acting skills. No overly dramatic lines. The dialogue is VERY Pulp Fiction. You don't need to be overly skilled with dialogue, but you need to be natural. You also need a VERY crisp mic, as you and your costar need to sound like you're in the same room.

The sound effects person needs to get for me a few simple effects. A chair moving on the ground, and being tipped over and clattering, a gun clicking, walking sounds, a speaker whizzing and clicking. Things like that. If you know how to do sound menipulation, that'd be even better. Simple stuff, but I'll need someone who knows what they're doing.

You will be doing this for a low low price of FREE.

The script is SHORT, so don't worry about an overexuberane of lines.

Maybe post a line of you talking or something. Whatever you'd like.

Yes, but you'll need to be more specific as to how the effects should sound.

Kirbs, the better the mic, the more likely that they will sound like they are in different rooms. Anything decent is going to pick up tons of room tone, and will definitely show the differences between two rooms. Either the dialogue should be recorded with a good condenser in a dead environment (improvise with a closet, lined with thick blankets on all its walls), or a dynamic mic, which would be your best bet.

Grab a dynamic like a Shure SM58, and do the dialogue with that. If used in proximity with the source (stuck right to the lips), you won't be getting much room tone since the high frequency response doesn't nearly approach that of a good condenser mic. Still sounds great though.




Foley is anything but simple. Try to record a chair moving. It'll never sound like a chair moving. Things that are loud tend to sound small, and things that are quiet tend to sound large.

Example, I was doing some Foley work for a kung fu video, and I had brought in a heavy army bag filled with clothes to punch. Although in the room it sounded like a nice big THWWWAP, miked and recorded it sounded small. No matter how we placed the mic. Then we tried just slowly slapping our hands together very close to the mic. What we got were very convincing body hits.

You're probably best to go with pre-recorded SFX, just make sure they are royalty-free.



Sorry. As much as I like you, the Foley work would be a couple hours for sure. That's $30/h + studio time and equipment rental, normally. I don't have that kind of free time.
