Personally, I'm rather skeptical on this. No way can they finish it 'till the end of the year, since it looks they haven't even really started yet. In other news, however, Prey demo's coming out in 8 days. Or so sais the 3D Realms website.

If it's coming out in December and kicks a lot of arse, it will be my best Christmas present in a long time.

It would be the coolest scenario ever if they have been working on it all along but just haven't hyped it. Especially if it rocks überly much

This has been denied by 3D Realms. George Broussard has said that they wouldn't ship the game earlier just for $500.000. http://www.gamestar.de/news/pc-spiele/action/34181/

Duke Nukem Forever has been "in the works" since the late 1990's. To me it's just that Urban Legend of video and PC games.

I believe it will come out one day, but I hope it will rock. If it doesn't... well, I sure hope it has sexy enough editors (if it still uses an Unreal engine, it might have UED which would be sextreme) so it can be made better.
