So a wasp was buzzing around in my room earlier, and a random white thing fell off of it when it was floating around.

it fell off the back area.

is it insect poop?

If i find it, i'll totally eat it.

Yes, they can. Bees and wasps usually defecate while flying, if I'm not mistaken. That probably was insect poop.

You should have followed it to its nest. I saw this documentary on TV about a South American tribe. They found a wasp nest and set a fire under it, making all the wasps abandon it, then ate the larvae.
