I was just wondering if any of the Old School JK Clans are around.

"Jedi Knight Cynosure" (Their website is gone)
"Rogue Saberists" (Website also gone)

The only true JK Series Clan from the old School left is the "Masters of the Lightsabre"

If any of the people from the Old school are arond I'd liek to hear them, I'm making a History of the old JK Days for the "Masters of the Lightsabre" and am trying to collect information on the Old Clans we had friends with.

I would also like hearing from ShadowX if he is still around as I want a detailed entry for Saber battle X from him, history etc.

I have gone by several names (DarthGogeta, thesaiyan, MOTL_thesaiyan, {MOTL}thesaiyan, {MOTL}Solaas, and now "{MOTL}JediPhreaK" or just "JediPhreaK".

Where did all the clans go? They grew up and left home.

We can only hope, especially considering that "old school" players started playing this game about a decade ago.

Any one remember TRSW? The Real Sword Warriors? or the Jedi Knights?

JFA= Jesus Freak Army. We started in six years ago this month and it took about 4 years for us to finally go under. Fun times.

"Masters of the Lightsabre" was founded more then 7 years ago and is to my knowledge the Longest running JK Series Clan. (May 5th 1999)

Only one I remember was FIA. Flying Imperial Army, wasn't it? Whatever it was, they were arrogant little bastards.

Uh, wasn't KOP a clan? I remember KOP_blujay and KOP_snake and some other KOPs too.

There's some members of the Order of Reborn Jedi (think that's what it stands for) and Sith Mercenaries over at the Hub.

There was also GMS_. I don't know what it stood for, but Slug used to be GMS_Slug way back in the day.

I was in JEDI, as JEDI_GeForce. Then I joined ICJ. Ahh the memories. I remember pwning everyone in my clan just to get a seat on the 'council'. Haha.

Some of those are vaguely familiar. jkC however made 95% of the skins in the SBX MOD, {RS}Thrawn made SaberDome Maximus and Minimus, and I think ShadowX was part of their group. MOTL_ (now {MOTL} ) helped ShadowX beta test SBX, and MOTL_Robinton wrote the majority of the "Saber Fighting 101" Documentation that Comes with the MOD.

MOTL_ was easily one of the best SBX Saber Dueling Clans around. We are mostly inactive waiting for another JK Game that is not glitched like Jedi Academy, but we still do things together.

and jediphreak, I suggest you start an "oldest still running JK clan" argument with the DSBr guys in #jk, they'll like that

My clan and I have been together in JK since January of 1999 and in Q2 since October of 1998. We no longer play these games on a regular basis (we're mostly all playing MMORPGs these days), but we do still play them. I'm quite sure that there are other "old school" clans that are even older than us somewhere out there. You guys don't happen to play CTF do ya? We'd really like an excuse to come back and start playing some 2v2 Nar or 3v3 Fusion.

Not really old school, no. ORJ rose partly from the ashes of NJoA. We were very active on zone from 2002 untill it closed down. We're still active though, playing, holding tournaments, making levels, etc. Although it would be awesome if there would be a new place like the Zone.

But you know, in JK, you could say that there are really two different scenes, when it comes to JK saberfighting. (Apart from the gunners 'scene')

On the one hand, you have the 'purist' clans that stick to regular JK, and on the other hand you have the scene of clans who decided to switch to SBX for sabers, simply because they liked the gameplay better. This situation is still the same, today.

ORJ is the heritage of clans such as JoC, NJX, Jedi and NJoA. We specialize in the SBX mod, and thus all of our members have their 'own' SBX skin. (ORJ members section)

Last year, ShadowX returned from absence, and he wanted to join ORJ. However, I haven't seen much of him since, so he's probably too busy for JK. I still have him on MSN, but I haven't seen him online in months.

I avoided those things like the plague.

SoM - Shadows of Mandalore

Both are long dead, SoM rocked though.

Totally different person, ShadowX created Saber Battle X SavageX did some other stuff.

Look up SBX 3.1 its ShadowX I remember him pretty well.

The only clan I came close to joining was FIA, which if I remember right (and I'm sure I don't) was Flying Imperial Assassins. Heheh.

I never did join because me and some dude from Israel (whose name I've forgotten) would end up online about the same time every day, and we would team up and kick some booty.

Mentat, if you guys are getting back to CTF, I'd love to join in. I just reinstalled JK on Tuesday to play 3v3 Nar with some friends. I could barely remember how to get out of RCR anymore. =/

Redeemed is still around. Takimoto, Grets Sirob, and I are still part of the clan.

I suppose Element is still around, after a fashion. I was in that one as Element_Night right as they were pretty much abandoning JK. I didn't play their other games, so that little membership didn't last long.

I was also in PC (PC_Masquerade), BoL, DsA, probably others... it was years and years ago.

And Bounty Hunters Clan BHC or something like that.

I was in SL (Sabers Lightside) at one point. Some people here might remember SL_Jedi_Bubba_FaTT and SL_Ki_Adi_Mundi. I was SL_Ric_Olie back in the day. I had a forum account by that name, but I forgot the password to it, thus the dropping of the SL.

I've been playing from time to time but Purity can't seem to get his port forwarding set up properly. Fogogg is on broadband finally, Bodfoy is on AIM pretty much every day, and Cubby still pops in from time to time. I'd love to get some games going, I've pretty much just been playing with random folks. I hear there are some Massassians that play CTF, so that would be cool if we could get some games going.

nope. CESC_Ragna here. Was 1 rank lower than CESC_KoRn_HoRn and CESC_Yoda-something something if you knew them... they were the founders i believe.

anyway, still no one has named any of the "elite" nf saberz clans i used to love to play against on the zone... sigh... nostalgiaaa... i vaguely remember one, which started with a 'v'... agh

my bad, i recognize dsbr, pretty sure i was good friends with some dsbr's and... i forget if they were mostly nf sabz or guns :-P

DSbr was best known for their FF abilities. They are one of the best FF clans of all time.

I guess some of the better NF sabs clans would have been EA, IRN, JCS, and DE. I quit playing NF sabs seriously in like 2000-2001 so I'm probably not the best person to answer that question.

I hope eventually the Jedi Knight Series is done proud as they have been for the larg part (un moded) a let down. Which is why very few of the Old Clans have lasted so long.
