I don't know if this is old news, but check this out:

A guy tries to cancel his AOL account, and gets this long talk from the representative who won't cancel the account. (Sorry it's a youtube)

I guess AOL's really feeling the pressure of all those members leaving.
Steal my dreams and sell them back to me.....

Signing up for AOL is like getting addicted to drugs or alcohol. It's best not to start in the first place :)

Except there is no pleasant or pleasurable part of the experience. It more like napalm or something actually. The longer it on you the more you get burned. :P
