Years ago, when I was still a part of the JK editing scene, I had a cool idea for a new form of multiplayer gameplay. I never got around to coding it, but I recently remembered it and thought about giving it a shot, just to see how the mechanics of the gameplay work out. If it ends up being fun, it'd be cool to see the idea ported to other, more modern games.

If I write it for JK it'd be almost entirely a cog-only mod, with maybe one or two textures or models as needed. Without giving too much away, I'll say that it's a method of play inspired by classic CTF, but with a rather large twist.

So, I don't know how many (if any) people play JK anymore, but if I took the time to write this, would at least a few people give it a shot so I can see how it works out?

I would give it a try. I'm especially excited that you said it's inspired by classic ctf.

I might play it if I could find my JK CD, and people I liked to play with.

Just to clarify, I don't expect a small, cog-only mod to suddenly make everyone play JK every day, all I'm looking for here is to get a few games going with a reasonable amount of people to see how the gameplay works.
