I. Am. So. Bored.

Timeline of boredom:
- University Ends
- Return Home
- Mobile Phone reception lost due to living in stupid place
- Computer exploded (sparks, smoke and all) due to some power supply fault
- Two hard disk killed in the process
- Power supply replaced with fancy expensive one
- Motherboard is apparantly dead, perhaps CPU as well, have been unable to check graphics card. RAM appears to be fine
- Retailer of parts says contact PSU manufacturer
- PSU manufacturer has no phone number in this country and has yet to respond by email

Whose job is it to replace all the broken parts? I would say it's the responsibility of the manufacturer but given that multiple components from multiple manufacturers have been broken I think that the retailer should do the legwork. I just want my computer working again, I also cannot afford to replace any components.

Your timeline of boredom sounds pretty exciting to me.

I'm sure it would be nice and dramatic if I actually had anything else to do, all my friends appear to have left the area.

I too have similar frustrations, though nothing as severe yet. I either have two hard disks with page files in bad sectors, or my RAM has gone down the crapper. That's what I think is causing the reboots, at least. I bought all of my parts from the same place 2 years ago, and so far the only ones that haven't failed are the CPU, video card, and sound card. Everything else has bled my wallet something terrible.

I agree, the retailer should have to deal with the headache. At least in ridiculous situations like this.

First off, Im an intern. Me not doing anything costs them like $60 (They have recieved over $6mil in investments already) Second off, it WORKS in IE, it just isnt optimalized for IE. At least not our open source site. Honestly, find me one opensource person who uses IE the majority of the time, and I may, or may not give you a dollar.

Heh, reminds me of the guy who was invited to our school to talk about accessibility in websites. On the topic of IE he said: "Screw them, if their browser is too old they can get a new one."
