So when will the SG-1 mod be out? I was told last december and it ain't out yet. Is there a date?

The PM system is your friend. Ruthven is the principle author and you should PM him instead.

As it stands, the mod is pushing maximum resource limits and the game has to be patched in order for the mod to work. That is the primary hurdle.

The Mod files are all done, aside perhaps from some minor bugs.

The problem is.... all the files in gob format, are 3x bigger than the original res2.gob, but with 3x less files.

Usually, this issue could be helped by destroying the original res2.gob and using my own.

Unfortunately, the present JKSG1 mod REQUIRED normal JK levels. therefore, 90% of the files in res2.gob are still needed. (aside from Dark Jedi resources, other files simply override the old ones)

When a fix becomes available, you'll have your mod.


Otherwise, i'm working on a Large (too large) single player mission pack, which uses the mod for stargate levels.... That wont need the res2.gob.

Unfortunately, at present, i'm a one man team, making a whole new mini game, around 6 levels about (35% of the original JK game playing time) with 10x better graphics and environment.

:(

Oh, and in 2 days time, I'm leaving.

Cool, I ask a serious question, and the thread turns into a comedy. I need to do that more often.Ok, so the mod is to big, the levels are to big, but it will be released. Ok, thats still better than the SG-1 game that was canceled because MGM sucks.

res2.gob is 53.4MBs... I just got done downloading a 156MB rar(360MBs unrared) over a modem with no problem.

And your telling me it's too big...?

Yeah, it sucks, but it happens to editors all the time. I have about 5 levels on my hard-drive in a similar condition. :gbk:

omg stargate D:

A LucasArts' style adventure game someone made. Has some inaccuracies that might tick fans of SG1 off, but otherwise it's pretty good. Unfortunately it doesn't have many shining moments but it was still fun to walk though.

that game was fun if you had 20 minutes to kill, the puzzels were kind of odd but still fun to figure out. The part where the bomb is planted and O'neill had to defuse it was annoying because I could not get past the forcefeild (the solution was so simple and so pointless and stupid...)

if the translation to english was a bit better it'd be more enjoyable.
