I was doing some browsing, and out of nowhere this lightning bolt hit nearby, out of the corner of my eye I saw a white explosion in the case (theres a large hole in the side of the case, case mod.) and heard a loud pop, and after that smelled fried electronics...

theres no power at all now for it, but the mobo, etc, doesn't appear to be damaged.

just no power, so I wonder if it was just the powersupply that got hit.


moniter, speakers, mouse, keyboard, all thats alright.

who knows, maybe if it is the mobo this will give me an excuse to upgrade.

Oh man, that really sucks. How bad did that set you back? Luckly I've never even had so much as a hard drive crash, I've got in the habit of leaving my computer unplugged all the time.

It wasn't a thunderstorm. it was a shower, with thunder WAAAAAAAAAAAY off in the distance, you could barley hear it, then WHAM a random bolt next to my house. :\ I'm just glad nothing else blew up
