I can remember all the way back in 1985 or so, when Elmo got new shoes. Good ol' Sesame St.

So did I.

Mostly due to not hearing about Sesame Street before 1997 or so, though. And knowing that the characters had names up to 2005. :)

ummm... no, I'm pretty sure I remember him from when I was 5yrs old.
There was even a song he was singing about his shoes.
"Elmo got new shoesies, Elmo got new shoesies"

Just double checked on the IMDB. According to that, he was introduced in '85. Which is when I was 5 :cool: hehe, I enjoy being right.
