So as most of you know i bought Half Life[1] recenty.

Well for some reason the Steam version unlike the normal version... Hates my
guts.

A. Sounds are ****ed up
B. No D3D? Only opengl!
C. Annoying errors [Missing sound files]
D.Lags like hell.

So i got my friend to burn me of a copy of his old non steam version.

In short

steam SUCKS![Or atleast whoever gave it this worthless patch does]

it's not steam that sucks... it's your PC... one can only expect so much from the Caveman 6000

Freelancer isn't my namesake, if that's what you're saying, since my moniker predates the game by a good number of years. Besides, it's a great game.

Beautifully true.

Steam doesn't suck, and anyone who complains that it sucks obviously sucks themselves. It's easy to use, althought it had me frustrated for a while with my network, it ended up being my stupidity more than anything else. It's gotten over the bugs it had in the 1.6 days, and isn't nearly as bad as people say.

Now, the idea of Steam I'm not really a fan of. But Steam itself works fine.

Yoshi is right, there's nothing bloody wrong with steam. Its easy to use and I've never had any problems.

Pity Half Life sucks.

Well, it's not so much even that. You can set up shortcuts to where you don't have to click any more often, but it just takes longer to connect to the steam servers, then update steam, blah blhhablhabalhabalha

People complain about how Steam bypasses having a hardcopy of the game, but these are usually the same people that download all their games anyway. :rolleyes:
