So we got a new cat
2006-07-13, 8:12 PM #1
Well, it wound up on our porch Tuesday night climbing out screen door. We fed it, and it stuck around. I think we're having it fixed on monday and probably some shots too. It looks to be only a few months old, which is sad. It's completely black, and we named it Shadow. It's also our second cat right now, we have both of them around to kill small rodents. Both are outdoor cats.

Now I myself am partial to dogs. But this new cat, well, I sat outside with him (her?) climbing all over me, petting him, and listening to him purr for about an hour.

We also have two dogs, one's the ***** of the house, she kinda acts like she rules it and threatens to attack anyone who comes to the house pretty much. Never attacked anyone yet though..luckily, and she's only alive because she was my grandma's dog (dead now). The other one is a very lovable dog. Very caring, soft, friendly, I love that dog.

So, are you a cat or dog person?
I had a blog. It sucked.

I like cats, but some cats can be bastards.

some dogs can be too.. For that matter, so can some people. What's your point?
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

The two poll options aren't mutually exclusive. I love cats, but dogs are man's best friend.

Cats are neat and don't try to kill me as much as dogs do, so they win.

Three weeks ago, a cat walked into our yard and decided to adopt us. Two weeks later, she increased that amount by six because she was pregnant with 6 kitties. The kitties are exactly 1 week old now and one of the six has just opened his eyes :) Man those kitties are so damn cute :D They're like small little cute rats with big heads and small ears :D

I love both cats and dogs, but no cat ever seems to like me as much as a dog does.

I love both!

But in terms of personal contact and companionship:

dogs > cats

I prefer dogs...cats have too big egos.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Max. His eyes look a little weird in this pic.

He is seriously the best pet ever in the entire world. He never ever bites, scratches, or meows unecessarily, he's affectionate when you want to be affectionate and will happily sit next to you instead of on you if he wants a cuddle but you dont, he goes to the bathroom outside so no litter tray, he loves strangers, and we simply leave a bowl of dry food perpetually out for him - he eats what he wants and never gets overweight.

Dogs are great too, but a good cat like Maxy offers just as much with none of the drawbacks.

Aww...I wish he wasn't doomed to spending his life outside.

He's such a nice little kitty...

Oh, he spends most of his time outside in a tree. 15 (or more) feet up, on a branch. Just laying there. It's a sturdy branch, but he's reluctant to come down. But he seems to be getting more used to coming down, so that's good. I don't have to wait 5 minutes anymore.

Definately a cat person. There are certainly cool dogs and certainly nasty mean cats, but for the most part, I prefer cats.

I love both! Personally, I think I'm more of a dog person...I just ended up with two cats.
