If you can post levels, I've changed the way it works - the levels account now points to a gmail account so we can filter the spam better. If you have posted levels in the past and want to post levels in the future, email me @ brian@massassi.net and I will give you the login info.

A while ago I tried to download JED again and the site wouldn't load. I'll try it again later.

Hint: For JED (and a newer version of it called ZED), go to Hub, and see what you have been missing.

Did you fix the way they're uploaded? If I wrote it, would you include a new method of uploading files? I'd probably use PHP. I'm not very good with PHP yet, but I know I could write a better system then we've got.

The problem with PHP uploads is that it's always capped. Mega Upload has a way around that. Though it's a pain to set up, it's worth it.

I've actually been toying with this. No matter what we do, we can't do web uploads because of the cap and the complete unreliability of http uploads (esp. with newer JO/JA levels which are much larger than old JK levels).

I made a script to go through all level shots and make thumbnails and put them in a slightly different format, but many of the images wouldn't process for some reason. The GD library doesn't recognize them as images even though my browser displays them fine. Hrm.

I think I remember seeing something with a java applet that did uploads with a nifty little status bar and everything.

Emon was working on one, but I think he hit some hurdles that he couldn't overcome.

At my "real" work, I was tasked with writing a WebDAV server layer for Apache and mod_perl. The company is going to open-source it, so at that point, we'll have a viable, reliable way for you guys to transfer files to massassi. You can use any WebDAV client (like WebDrive on Windows, Konqueror on Linux, Transmit or the Finder on OSX) or even Internet Explorer to transfer the files. I have no idea when it will be done though.

The thing is, it's not a high priority because we only get 1 or 2 files a month, max.

Ay, silly me. I totally forgot about those. I did remember to include the readme and the screenies though.

Please delete the other file/email I sent earlier to brian@massassi.net. It was the wrong version... :o :o :o
