I havn't seen a thread about awesomness in the past week, maybe I overlooked something.

Does anyone else feel sick for missing season 10's Flesh and Blood?

I saw it.. it was OK, nothing great, but it sets the season in motion.

Same with Atlantis.

Ditto. SG-1 was just the other half of the episode Season 9 ended with. A few startling things, but mostly setup for the rest of the season. Atlantis didn't even finish the episode it started at the end of Season 2. The Atlantis premiere was more of a "middle" episode with the end coming next week.

I liked the SG-1 episode, but it seemed a little rushed at the start... I know they had to cover how daniel mitchel and sam escaped the battle and rescue teal'c, but it just seemed rushed and fast paced.

the second half though, when the Ori fleet landed on chulak and starting an invasion was pretty cool. and vala's child is kinda strange... there are times when you think she might be sympathetic to Vala and other times when she wants to make vala burst into flames... we also got to see that the Ori have fighters, they look like a cross between a dart and a glider really... long and pointy but sleep and curvy.

Daniel in the crusader uniform was interesting, we got to see the Ori version of a Zat gun, 1 shot stuns, two shots "most likely" kills, I doubt a third shot will zaporize though.

Bra'tac seems to be loosing it... it's like he's just given up his fight now... his suicide run at the Ori vessel just seemed out of character and odd watching him do it.

Atlantis was cool though... I loved the space battle near the end and we know the virus works now, and they have a captured hive ship to boot.

I watched both. I like the Atlantis at little bit more in the now, but I think SG-1 is setting itself up really well for the rest of the season.

I missed on the entire show. Well, I did see a few episodes 2 or 3 years ago, with that black dude who always had some yellow plastic crap stickied to his forehead (I think he was called Tilk). He was in almost all (no, in *all*) the eps. I saw. Thought it looked rather silly.

Teal'c. That's not a sticker, that's a scar over a tatoo, filled with molten gold.

I watched it once by accident. I thought it was MacGyver. Once I realized my mistake, I changed the channel in anger.

That's because he has been in every single episode of the series except for one.

I liked both episodes, even if the SG-1 episode was a bit dull and didn't establish much.

The episodes just didn't strike me as spectacular. Season premiers and finalies (with the exception of the season 9 premier) usually keep me on the edge of my seat. these didn't really do that for me. SG-1 seemed rather cut up, like they made 4 different plots and put them all together. I'll admit that the plots all fit the timeline as they should have, but still, it didn't feel like a connected flowing episode.
Atlantis was a little better, I find myself likeing it more than SG-1 lately. Though I am left with a major question did I see the orion explode?!?!?! I was just starting to like that ship!!! oh and I'm a little frustrated at the needless wasting of drones... they probably could have taken out that hive with half the drones.

Yeah, the Orion is toast.

SG-1's days are numbered. I read a comment by one of the producers somewhere, that they can't afford to keep paying the stars of the show. Many of them have been on the show since the very beginning, and every season gets a pay increase, so a bunch of them are making a bundle of money this season.

Predict the end of SG-1.
Here's my prediction:
The Wraith vs The Ori. They somehow get the wraith to go after the Ori, and the wraith suck the life out of them.

That's what I want to see, everyone comes homw for a huge intergalactic battle. Wraith, Ori, us, Jaffa, throw in the Luceans, and maybe the Ancients step down from their pedestal so we can see some cool Ancient ***-kicking.

I'm just waiting for the ori to make a stupid mistake and violate that ascended rulebook.

yeah... they like to blow up ships recently... putting earth and atlantis in really sticky situations.

yeah, each season they get huge pay increases and if the show goes on much longer it'll cost more to pay the actors then it will for the special effects and sets and costumes etc etc...

in an upcoming episode daniel and o'niell apparently travel to atlantis (daniel finally gets his wish eh.) so imagine how much they'll have to pay Shanks... he'll be appearing in an episode of atlantis and SG-1...

Actually, the whole SG-1 team goes to atlantis (and it's an episode of SG-1) so they have to pay the Atlantis cast extra. not Shanks. In fact, Michael Shanks is only doing 15 episodes out of the 20 if I remember those numbers right. He's taking some time off to be with family or something.
[edit] for those of you wondering where I get my info anyway, here's the #1 source for all things stargate. [url]www.gateworld.net[/url] [/edit]
[edit2] I looked it up, and he's doing 16 of the 20 episodes [/edit2]

RDA is in some episodes of SG-1 this season. :D

2006-07-17, 4:56 PM #19
Shanks isn't paid as much as some of the others because he "died" and ran away from the series for a year+.

Teal'C and Carter are the two that are really raking in the dough. There are a few supporting cast members that are making the big bucks too.

In something like 10 weeks when they go on the midseason break, assuming you live in the US.

They rerun a few hours afterwards, like two or three times. Now that it's been a few days, they may not shown for a while.
