You'd think that at first, but once you see all the tricks and things you can follow it actually turns out to not be that great. I knew a guy that used to carry one around with him at school and he'd just sit there in class solving it then scrambling it then solving it and scrambling it again... he wasn't quite THAT fast, but he was pretty good. You just have to memorize all the moves.

It's to do with set theory, which is why if you know it, and can see it, you can do it that way.

As well as just learning the moves [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

rubics cubes are easy for me. I simply take it apart and put it together again in the solved position. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

The University of North Carolina has finally found a network server that, although missing for four years, hasn't missed a packet in all that time. Try as they might, university administrators couldn't find the server. Working with Novell Inc., IT workers tracked it down by meticulously following cable until they literally ran into a wall. The server had been mistakenly sealed behind drywall by maintenance workers.

I did that once just to see how they worked and... well, lets just say if I'm going for time, I have a better chance just solving it rather than trying to put it back together quickly [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

It's not fake, it was just played at a very low speed and sped up later. At least some parts of it were.

then you end up taping them back on eventually, after the stickiness wears off.

Yeah, if you watch what he's doing he's following a pattern that solves a Rubik's cube every time. It's still impressive because he'd have to make 3 or 4 decisions still, but it's not like he planned the whole thing out in his mind.

Holy crap, I just watched the Half-Life in under an hour video... I wonder what that guy is like at multiplayer (though the bunny hopping is cheap, but he seems to hardly miss... auto aim?)

I found it kind of upsetting that he skipped past a lot of the bigger parts with a cheap little trick, but I guess thats the only way to do it in under an hour.

With rubic cubes, just paint the whole thing white. One color on each surface. Yay.
