Can't stick with an AIM screenname :\

This is driving me nuts. I've had about 5 screennames total on AIM and I can't seem to stick with just one, and now what I've got is about 5 different screennames, each with a different buddy list, and it's getting frustrating trying to keep up with who knows what screenname. So now I'm to the last resort: ask Massassi. The two names I use mostly right now are Roy cIX and Paradigm Astray, and to be honest I think I can do better than that... basically I want a name that's neat for me, but that I wouldn't be emberrased to tell somebody I knew in real life. Oddly, I have the same problem as you [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif].
I usually make one, and just revert back to the first one I ever had. That would be my suggestion, just go to the first one.

Well that's what got me to make this thread: I just reverted back to the first one tonight... Roy cIX. I still hate it. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

sorry, not going the cheesy letter/number substitution rout. and I can't use Correction because that used to be my screenname when we had AOL, and apparently you're not allowed to use old AOL names in AIM. Which is dumb. :\

Are you sure about that? I have seen a lot of people log onto AIM with AOL screennames. Try it.

no, it's because the account has been cancelled. it says I'll have to reactivate the account to use it again. so basically until we reactivate our old AOL account, that names screwed forever

The "paradigm astray" one is somewhat clever, maybe substitute some different words or something... I don't know, it probably sounds more like a band name.

That's mostly why I don't like it. I made it with something totally different in mind, and unintentially made a catchy punk rocker band name (or so according to many others). :\

Get trillian. then you can be on all your names at the same time. Don't have to give up any.

That's not what I want though [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif] It's not that I don't want to give any up, it's that I don't like what I've got. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]
