I use the extension JPEG on my server as a PHP filetype. This allows me to link with [ img ] tags without restrictions on linking to .php files. It's generating a GIF.

Which of course breaks a lot of conventions about mime types and such, but thankfully our browsers still know what the hell it is.

All he's doing is using a PHP script to grab all the header info that came in when the image was requested, and then making a gif using the GD image library in PHP to make a spooky reply.

It's the same idea as those sig images you see on the net with the linux penguin holding a sign with your IP and stuff.

You are a good hacker. :v:

That still doesn't explain how you generate the gif. I wouldn't think php would be powerful enough to manipulate gifs very well.

Pfft, it serves using the correct mime type, and all the major browsers can handle it.

And CM don't forget that PHP can't generate animated GIFs natively ;) I had to go find a PHP class for that, and then hack at it slightly to make it more usable.

Anyways I wanted to make a dynamic, animated GIF, since I had found said PHP class for it, and I think this came out pretty good.

What I am most amazed at is the shady looking eyes. What symbol did he/she use to simulate those? ' ' is not working :(

Oh sorry, I read that as you got that from your non-massassi forum romps and not made it for them.
