Stupid Future!
2006-08-07, 12:24 AM #1
In the Gay thread something very important to our welfare in the future surfaced. Someone said that people are stupid. . . and I strongly believe that the biggest issue right now is stupidity. It’s a growing plague which seems to be taking the lives of thousands of people worldwide!

How would you feel if you found you’re self in this situation?

“Coming out of the closet” would be a small feat compared to “Coming out of the Class Room.”
How would you’re parents feel if they spent hundreds and thousands of dollars in educating their child who hadn’t learned a thing. The Horror it must be to know only after that money was gone that it could have gone towards more constructive things. Like a drool proof shirt for you’re idiot offspring. Or maybe even that boat you’ve always wanted. How can we battle this unmasking fiend which is feeding off of the fat healthy brains of future generations?

but...but... parents already do spend thousands on thier children's education only to find that they have learned nothing!
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

Of course. But it's becoming more and more common.

I don't think stupidity is more common, it's just more parents are spending money on education!

But you know what they say, it's easier to tell your parents that your gay than to tell them you've switched to a liberal arts major at MIT.

I like how poorly spelt and punctuated the comic is, that really adds to the effect. Makes it almost autobiographical, in fact. :o

I'd rather be gay than stupid.

(I made the right choice.)

Just because you're educated doesn't mean you're smart. You can cram a lot of knowledge into someone's head but if that person doesn't know what to do with that knowledge, he is no better off than being ignorant.

"I blame this on you're mother."

And another argument for the men-are-better-than-women-thread. If he weren't mother, but father, he wouldn't be stupid.
Sorry for the lousy German

Well, all of it is meant to be stupid. I think it's one of the dumbest things is when a parent will blame certain traits of their children on their spouse.

I'm surrounded by stupidity all the time. It's not as bad as in high school, where the stupidity and ignorance were mind-blowing, but it's still around.

Think of someone you know with average intelliegence. Then realize there's 3 billion people dumber than them :gbk:

I've got the mindset that absolutely everyone is a complete and utter idiot, unless proven otherwise. Usually the "proof" is dropped in favor of just knowing them, so friends and even minimal aquaintances are removed from the idiot list. But if I'm out driving? Being hyper-aware because you're *expecting* the idiot next to you to do something stupid is a great benefit. I've avoided a wreck or two because of that. Assuming that other people are smart is what will get you into trouble.

Just because you can't spell doesn't necessarily mean you're stupid. :v:

You're = you are

So, you're misspeling 'your'.

Yourself. (one word)

Your parents. Your mom.

Etc. :P

But now he is "smart" about a certain subject. It's all relative. All he needs is direction.
