Selling two monitors, a bass guitar and an amp
2006-08-07, 10:43 PM #1
Any takers?

I have two 19", 18" viewable CRT monitors. One black one white. They are both VERY nice. I'm upgrading to LCD for college, but I'll really miss these. I've never had any problems with them. The black one is flatscreen, the white one is curved.

The bass guitar is your basic bass guitar, nothing too fancy. The amp is in perfect condition, and the bass in near perfect. The only problem is that the three knobs (volume, two other things?) are a little bit loose, but this can be easily fixed.

I'm selling the monitors for hopefully 50 each, but it's negotiable. The bass and amp would be 200 together, or 150 for the amp and 75 for the bass guitar.

It'd be nice if you listed the specs on the bass and amp?

How old are the monitors? I need a new one, badly. This one's dying. And are you paying shipping, or me?
I had a blog. It sucked.
2006-08-07, 10:51 PM #5
Generally buyer pays shipping... but if you buy both, you'll get a discount!

And uhm.. the monitors are not too old. 4 years max.

Also: the bass amp is about 2ft high, 2ft across. I don't know how else to describe it. It's not gigantic, but it's not a small, lunchbox sized amp either.

How many watts are the speakers on the amp? and what kind of bass guitar is it?

Model numbers would be really helpful.

I'll buy the black one, assuming my parents are willing to put out $50 that I don't have right now. They may be interested in the white one, too. But atleast reserve the black one til tomorrow night.

What brand is the bass? What color? How about any info about it besides the knobs?

Better yet, how about pictures...

A bass?

Probably right handed...

Can you post a picture of it so I'd have an idea of how hard it would be switch it over to left handed?
2006-08-08, 6:25 AM #14
PS,

You could just drive the bass amp and bass to my house... :P
2006-08-08, 9:00 AM #15
We'll take both monitors. Would you be willing to let them go for $90 though instead of $100? And we'll pay shipping as well, of course since we're buying.

I'll talk to you on MSN tonight and get it all figured out.
I had a blog. It sucked.

Pictures of the bass and the amp will be up tonight. Approximately 3.5 hours from now.

And Zloc, sure. I'll calculate the best way to ship it to you tonight/tomorrow. (Not sure if Fedex, UPS, or the US Post would be cheapest. But we'll use whichever is cheapest.)

I'd be willing to commit to a sale if Jim7 will post and tell me how hard it will be/what I need to do to make it left handed.

I'm thinkin about the bass. By the way rob, all you do is switch the strings so they're opposite from thickest the thinnest.
2006-08-08, 7:00 PM #21
it's easy, you buy a lefty nut. flip the strings around and bingo. the only wierd things are electronics getting in the way.

I know that.

But it was much more complex on my classic guitar, which I haven't finished.

OH, and I can't find lefty bridge nuts anywhere, I'm told I'd have to cut one myself.

And I don't have to flip around the pickups?
2006-08-08, 7:15 PM #23
pickups nah.

do your own nut, it's easy.

So do I just buy a blank one, and use a dremel?

Is there anything I should know?

If it's that simple I'd be down with all of this. I have a bass pedal that I REALLY wanted to play with and no bass... :P
2006-08-08, 7:18 PM #25
yup. just make sure you don't go too deep in the nut, since you can chisel the bottom out until it's a neat fit.

you'll probably have to check your bridge harmonics but with a bridge like that it's ridiculously easy.

Zloc- I don't know if you got my MSN messages. It's going to cost about $38 for each monitor to ship... I hope that's okay.

Get back to me.

We're only taking one, dud. I'd like the black one, so anyone who wants the white one, it's still open.
