Sam and Max, back in action

I'm surprised that no one mentioned this yet, especially considering that back in '04 the cancellation of Sam and Max 2 was news worthy here.

Well, there's always a light at the end of the long tunnel of "cancelled land"

The voice-overs in the trailer needed a bit of work. The good news Is I am going to be signing up to Gametap anyway for Uru:live, so its basically free "Sam and Max" for me.

Has anyone else seen the old "Sam and Max" Tv series?

I guess I missed it, I tried to search for it, but well, "sam and max" are all 3 letter words so the search can't find them heh

My brother acquired at least one episode of the Sam & Max cartoons. It sometimes seemed like a little too much Inspector Gadget ripoff, but overall it had a similar style of humor to the rest of the S&M universe. I think, though, that it would have been better if made after South Park took off, perhaps in the age of Adult Swim. The comics and even the game have much humor that is not appropriate for a Saturday morning kid's show.

Trust me, it's nothing like inspector gadget.

No, I won't trust you. I saw it with my own eyes. I think the main thing that gave me that impression was the girl who was helping them out ("the geek" i think they called her) seemed a lot like the girl in Inspector Gadget (don't remember her name). Don't get me wrong, there was plenty of classic Sam and Max humor involved, it was just toned down and infused with other stuff to make it into a kids' show.

I don't think you should trust your own eyes anymore... They seem very decieving.

Sure, it was toned down a little for the kids, but the Geek is nothing like Penny and Sam and Max will never be anything like Inspector Gadget.

The Sam and Max cartoon ruled my world. They should bring it back for Adult Swim.

Maybe she just seemed unusually Penny-like in the one episode that I've seen; it has also been awhile since I've seen Inspector Gadget. That was just the first thing that popped into my mind when watching S&M. And I do agree with the second part.
