Tim Buckley is sitting in a hole in some guy's basement. He receives scraps of food that happen to fall into the hole, and sometimes his captor sends a loaf of bread down to Buckley via a wicker basket.

In this hole, he's got a small lamp, and a drawing table. That's it. His captor lowers the basket down, proclaiming "It puts the comics on the papers!" The man Tim Buckley has come to know as "Buckletoe Bill" is a demented taskmaster, forcing tim to draw the exact scene Bill wants.

Then, when Tim's done, he yanks on the rope, and puts the pictures into the basket. Bucketoe Bill then scans them and uploads them to the internet, tagging on speech bubbles and his own horrifying jokes.

Judging by the lack of funny for the past 6 or so months, I'd say Tim's been down there at least that long.

I mean, you'd have to be forced to claim you were the artist that sanctioned the absolute craptastical comedy that'd been coming out of CAD in the past few months. To ask for MONEY for additional media of the same crap genre is something I didn't think ANYONE, even as crazy as Buckletoe Bill would try to pull... but nontheless, has.

So lets do our best to bring Tim Buckley home safe before Buckletoe Bill has a new Buckley Suit to wear in front of the mirror.

Aww, I just read the last 3 comics. You didn't find them funny, kirby? Not at all?

Were they SUPPOSED to be funny? I mean...was there any comedic material in there, whatsoever?

[edit: sarcasm removed because it SUCKED.]
I had a blog. It sucked.

After my experiences playing on Dark Iron with the Penny-Arcade crew and the Ctrl+Alt+Del crew, I can safely say that Tim Buckley is an enormous douche.

Basically the Penny-Arcade people, PVP online, and the Ctrl+alt+del people each had a guild of their own on the Dark Iron wow server. PA was Alliance, CAD and PVP were horde. Sometime in November, Tim Buckley got drunk or something, and went online to play, and began to berate his guild members for "ruining" his reputation, because they ganked alliance players, which was to be expected on a PVP server.

Basically went on flaming the entire guild, calling them retards, etc etc, and then ended up disbanding the guild because he "couldn't take the risk to his reputation" :v:

It's alot more indepth then that, but thats what I remember at 12:55.

Yeah, sometimes it feels like Penny Arcade is McDonalds of webcomics, then making CtrlAltDel the Burger King of webcomics... or something.

I enjoy both now and then, wouldn't put them on my "TOP FAVS ^o^ LIST KEKEKE" though.

I have to ask why you wasted your time reading for the past 6 or so months when you weren't finding CAD entertaining or funny. This just sounds like a repeat of that last thread (about the Winter-een-mas bomb).

^ That's why I stopped reading ctrl-alt-del.
It has the occasional funny one but way too much stupid in between.

It's not really a surprise that the comic sucks now. I mean, I never could really imagine the strip being funny for long when he started doing it full time. At some point, he was bound to run out of material. Even the strip Garfield lost it's touch after like a decade of existence!

CAD is awesome. You suck.
Think while it's still legal.

I've liked the Dead Rising comics...

I think the lack of funny has been coming from the fact he's trying to tell a story and not every joke works for it.

GPF? GPF hasn't been funny since... since...

I don't know! And know the plot has gotten way out of hand. I still read it, but I prefer the days when everything was way more believable.

CAD has lost a lot of its flame. I still check it every day they update, but I do not find myself laughing. I do not remember laughing at one in a long while. Buckley is trying too much to get a story going in his comics rather than just one-strip of humor.

Does anyone here actually dislike PA?
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Don't really like PA. Sometimes I look at the occasional comic or two, but mostly I don't find them to be that funny. Plus I like to have a story line.

I occasionally laugh at one of them, but most of the time I think they're stupid.

VGCats for the win. Just because it's utterly, completely, totally random. Most of the time at least. God knows he has so many gems in his archives.

Oh God, yes. I can't count the number of times I've laughed at that comic, when there hasn't even been any dialogue. Like the bit with Snake and the leeches, or old Snake and the pills... :D

I agree as far as CAD goes, not too much funny there nowadays. PA, however, I still enjoy a lot. I prefer the one time comics rather than the story lines, but they mix in both too so it's cool.

CAD stopped being funny a while ago, PA is still occasionally amusing, though nowhere near as much as it was a few years ago. Alien loves predator on the other hand, almost always gives me a chuckle.

CAD isn't funny. The worst part was when Chef Brian lectured the readers on how to be random and funny, when most of the Chef Brian stuff is terribly forced. I still read it on occasion, when the uber-slug makes me.

PA is pretty funny--not the best, but the cynical decadence of it is pretty entertaining. And not enough people read Tycho's newsposts--that's half the greatness right there.

But neither are the best. Dinosaur Comics, VGCats, and Reprographics...there's lots of really funny stuff out there. :P

GPF isn't a funny comic--I wasn't trying to convey it as one. The plot may be way out of hand, but in a sense, you know he's got it under control and the **** hasn't quite hit the fan. It's odd.

CAD hasn't been funny in a long time... And ever since he announced his "premium" pay for animated episode program I’ve been waiting for it to finally die.

VGCats is funny... When he updates (And recently it feels like that's been a pretty big when)

PA still has it's moments, but mostly I still read PA because I respect Tyco's taste in games more than almost anyone else.

Also, is it just me, or has 8-Bit theatre lost it's funny too?

I agree, 8-bit has lost it. =[
If it goes on much longer I think I'll delete it from my fave comics bookmarks.

It's just you (and Deadman). 8-bit's hilarious. Unless you're counting the 5 page story that did a few days ago about the creation of the world, which wasn't supposed to be funny :P

I have to agree, CAD has gone down hill very quickly, even the animated series has lost the plot a little too, PA i enjoy a lot more than I used too, to be honest i think this all happened the same time he met 'britney' and things went down hill from there.
Flying over there some were...
