I decided to dump sprint and goto Helio, which is on sprints network but has much better, teen friendly, plans. I got the Hero, and I have to say this phone is absolutely bad ***... I mean really... So much better than I even thought it would be.

The speakers are better than a Nintendo DS speakers, and about the same as a PSP. Game graphics are between N64 and PSX.

Its just awsome... again, WAY WAY WAY better than I thought it could be. Only complaint is the number buttons are too hard to use with one hand for long texts.... oh well.

I like my phone to be a phone. Not a camera, not a handheld gaming device, just a phone.

Although if they came with larger storage capacities I would consider one for an mp3 player substitute.

They have stupid commercials. Like one with some ditzy girl saying she uses Helio because "49.99 a month is cheap compared to other services". That alone is the DUMBEST quote I've heard in a commercial in a long time. I pay 20 bucks a month for my phone. THAT'S cheap. And 50 bucks a month is completely insane for a cell phone. I've LOOKED at other services. Only time I've EVER seen them near 50 bucks is if you add in loads of bonus addon crap. Helio on the other hand... I looked at their site and saw no way to get anything LESS THAN 50 bucks a month.


Agreed. I have a 30 dollar phone. No stupid color screen, no camera, no fancy ring tones, no Mp3 playback. It just makes calls, sends and recieves text messages, and does my voice mail. And I'm paying 20 bucks a month.

I also agree that at least for my phone, more storage space would be nice... It'd prevent me from having to clean out my text messages so often.

What ticks me off is all these kids YOUNGER than me walkinga round with a very nice cell phone. Even at 13, I think it's a bit much. I just borrow one of my parents' cell phones if I'm going to paintball and don't know when I'll be done.
