Halo Movie potential.

My friend found this short film by director Neill Blomkamp. He'll be directing the Halo movie. For a while I was afraid they would just be making another video game movie, all fancy colors and flashy lights. But this video gives me some hope.

What do you guys think?

Looks very cool. I like such documentary-esque films. :)

I'm officially impressed. Not with the concept of a Halo movie mind you... but that was pretty good.

Remember that Peter Jackson will be working on the Halo Movie as well, so I think it is something to look forward to ;)

Ditto. Only the first minute or so was interesting, the rest seemed... retarded.

Pretty nifty. Points for creativity, to be sure.

I like the camera work. It makes it seem more realistic. Though I don't really like the story line. Sure it's interesting and such, but there should be more humans shooting aliens and stuff.

Uh, you do know that the only thing the executive producer does is hire the people that work on the movie. He has very little (if at all) direct involvement.

The story line? What story line? All that short film had was aliens are here, and people don't like it.

even less really.

a Producer usually does that.

Executive Producers generally put the money in then leave it to do its own thing.

At least thats what i recall being told, I may be wrong.

You're not wrong. Peter Jackson will likely have almost nothing to do with the quality or content of the movie, and frankly that's okay by me.

The only way that I'd go see a Halo movie is if it was in fact: Red vs. Blue: The movie.

Good point. Okay fine then. I wish there had been more people shooting at the aliens.

I didn't really like it. And the CG fight stood out way too much. Honestly, the most amusing part of the video for me was when I read Casting by Slaves Talent Management in the credits. Heh.

It was ok... Yellow was much better, though. Try that one. That one, at least, could actually work as a movie (though the general idea of it has been done before many times).

Uwe Boll seems a more likely candidate for that title, and no he doesn't... they'd never let him near it methinks.

They should never let Uwe near anything "directing"...
