i kinda liked macs before i saw this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxOp5mBY9IY

yes, it's horribly horribly old news as you can tell by the 1997 date, but not EVERYONE has seen it, im guessing. it's common knowledge that mac almost went bankrupt and such, this video shows that microsoft helped them get out of that. (maybe a little, maybe a lot. they at least made an effort to help them)

thats not even what im concerned about. what really bothers me is that steve jobs says in that video something along the lines of:

"I see this as the end of competition between apple and microsoft"

Yeah. ****ing. Right.

now that mac is back on it's feet, and is back in the market, they put borderline slanderous ads out now.

i'll still end up using macs anyways, but for the first time in a LONG WHILE i can honestly say i have a little more respect for microsoft right now (unless the whole bill gates stole stuff from steve jobs" thing is true. then i guess this is just treatment, and bill gates was an IDIOT for helping them)

It was a lot.

As far as I can understand Microsoft's contract with the US government stipulated that there needed to be at least one major competitor so if Apple died then so did the contract.

This reminds me of something I saw recently. It was a shot from one of those "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" ads.
It said "If these two men went to a job interview at your place of work, which would be hired?"

-Pic related.
