My beloved gPod...

Stuff about selling the gPod has been taken out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm looking for a new mp3 player. Preferrably $200 or less, and 20gb storage (I'll settle for 10 if I must. Just want lots extra). I want a nice LCD screen, but doesn't need photo/video capability. Basically, I want to be able to put my growing music collection on here and I want to be able to navigate it easily. I'm very strict on $200, ie I'm not going to $230 unless it is absolutely 100% pure awesome in a handheld electronic device.

I'm either going to save up for this, or I'm going to ask for it for my birthday which will be around the time I get the money.

Oh, and for the record: I am not dissatisfied with what I paid for with the gPod. I got what I paid for, and it served its' purpose. I'm happy with it, it's just not what I want anymore.

And I'm not going to be an arrogant little ****tard this time and go buy off of eBay on an impulse. I've learned my lesson.

A gig for 60 bucks? That's a waste of money. You're not going to get any more than 40, I'd say.

Didn't you post pictures of you licking that USB drive, among other things? I generally dislike purchasing electronics that have been pre-licked.

I'd spend the extra $20 just for the licking.

Kirby's right, there's one for $45 online with a screen, basically same thing.

I'll just sell the thing locally, instead of sell it online. I can probably get more out of someone local than I can technically adept people online.

So, $200 MP3 players with around 15-20gb storage preferably, and easy to navigate

200 or less? You'll be lucky to pull out 8gb.

Look into Samsung's newest line. Also, Creative's line is nice as well in that range.

Thisis just something I quickly found on newegg, and I thought it looked nice. It's just my first one to look at, so it's DEFINITELY not final, but aside from the battery life it looked pretty good to me.

Looking a bit further, yeah, I think Yoshi's right. Would $230 help out alot, if I go look for multiple buying places (avoiding eBay)?

After spending the better part of 45 minutes talking with Jep, laughing, and whatnot, I finally figured out that for him the final price including shipping would have been $55 which I couldn't al keep due to shipping. My mom came in then and told me she'd give me $60 for the gPod if I'd put her music on it.

Needless to say, I apologized to Jep saying that it'd be a hassle to get it to Canada, and I could make more money by selling it to my mom. I'm gonna wait a few days and think this over a few more times (plot out how long it'll take to get the money for a new MP3 Player) and I'll probably sell it for $60 to my mom. I'm not going to tell her the real value if she offers $60 :P

I resent that, kirby.

:gbk: you're right. I'll take $50 since that's what I was going to sell it to Jep for.

You can get refurbished 30 gig iPods for $200.

It's a great deal if you have no problem with refurbished goods. Apple seems to be pretty good with their refurbished items. I've known lots of people to get refurbished iPods actually and have no trouble out of them. And they're under warranty after all anyway.
